Redback Drilling
Prices

Drilling:-
3"/80mm (Urban)....................................................$180/meter
4"/100mm (Urban & Rotary Mud)........................$200/meter
4"/100mm (Rural DHH Only).......... .....................$160/meter
5"/125mm (Urban & Rotary Mud)........................$230/meter
5"/125mm (Rural DHH Only)................................$180/meter
6"/150mm...............................................................*$250/meter

The above prices include P.V.C. casing, gravel pack, cement grouting and development. The use of tainless steel well screens, steel and FRP (fiber re-inforced plastic) casing will incur additional charges.

4" is the general diameter recommendrd for a domestic or light commercial bore, however where volumes in excess of 5000 litres per hour need to be extraced, we recommend a 5".

"Urban" refers to bores drilled in residential areas where all waste products from drilling are collected in skips and liquid waste vacuum tankers for environmentally responsible disposal. The site is cleaned up after drilling and left spotless.

"Rural" refers to bores drilled where mud, drill cuttings etc. can be discharged onto the ground near the bore and left on site i.e. in the middle of a paddock. Drilling fluids, mud and water still need to be prevented from entering streams and waterways, therefore additional charges may apply if an excavator is needed to dig pits or construct bund walls.

All rates quoted are the same for rotary air, DHH (down hole hammer) and rotary mud drilling, however if 150mm P.V.C casing has to be used to support any unconsolidtaed formation while drilling, there will be an additional charge of $30/meter to whatever depth the 150mm casing is inserted.

The 150mm casing is also used to separate aquifers while drilling to prevent cross-contamination between aquifers of differing water quality. On completion of drilling, 100mm casing is then installed for the entire depth of the bore with screens and seals at the required depths. The space above the seals between the 100mm casing and the rock wall of the bore/ inside of the 150mm casing is then filled with cement grout to form a permanent seal and ensure that only water from the target aquifer can be extracted from the bore.

Capacity Testing:-
$100/hr for first 3hrs and then $60/hr after that.......3-5hrs for domestic/stock bores & 12-48hr for irrigation bores. Includes installation and removal of test pump.

Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Deepening:-
$250/hr.......Due to the difficult nature of this work, an hourly rate is charged and any additional casing, chemicals and cement is charged extra.
$250/m.......For deepening.
$1,000........Establishment fee forplacing drilling rig on site and setting up.

Standing Time:-
$250/hr.......Charged for delays/shutdowns caused other than by the driller or drilling conditions (for example if we arrive on site and cannot gain access). Sorry, but time is money!

Note: All prices are plus GST and terms are strictly payment on completion or presentation of invoice (this helps us keep our prices down).
